Draft schedule published for 2025 State Tournament

The draft competition schedule for the 2025 South Carolina Science Olympiad State Tournament is now available! The schedule is based off of the national schedule for this year; the event conflicts are the same as those at nationals, though the events will not necessarily run in the same order.

The tournament’s events will run in six hour-long blocks, with a short time in between each block to allow students and coaches to navigate to and from events. There are a selection of events that will be self-scheduled for each team individually at times within a larger block of three to six hours; specific details and available times about those events will be forthcoming.

The order of the events in the competition schedule is subject to change, but the event conflicts will not change unless they are changed by the national office, which is unlikely. Room assignments and the specific times of day that each block will run will be announced at a later date.

If a larger number of teams register in a division than we have room to hold in most available classrooms, a second competition group will be added to the schedule (likely teams with odd team numbers would compete at the same time and those with even team numbers would compete at a different time), though every school will have the same event conflicts no matter how many competition groups, if any, are in place.

This season’s event conflicts directly reflect those on the national schedule and are listed below:
